Beginning in SAS 9.1.3 Service Pack 4, the SAS OLAP server will attempt to assign required libraries based on the information stored in the metadata server. This will only occur if the library has not been explicitly allocated as described in SAS Note 12215. Libraries not defined to the metadata server will need to be explicitly defined by the user.

The library assignments will occur when a user first establishes a session to the SAS OLAP server in which a data set contained in the library is requested. All non-RDBMS libraries will be considered regardless of the application server context in which they are assigned. This could introduce errors if different libraries are assigned with the same libref in different application server contexts.

Most connections to the data defined in these libraries will be performed by the SAS OLAP Server's process ID. The exception is when connecting to a third-party RDBMS when the library has an explicit USER parameter defined.
