Usage Note 16851: How do I add a personal user ID to my BI installation?
If you need to add a personal user ID in addition to sasadm, sasdemo,
and so on, follow these steps:
1. Add the user ID in the SAS® Management Console.
A. Open the SAS Management Console, drill down to User Manager, and
select New-->User.
B. Under General, in the Name field, type the user ID.
C. CLick the Logins tab and select New.
D. In the user ID field, type the domain and user ID, for example,
caryntjoblue.
E. In the Password and Confirm Password fields, type the password
associated with the specified domain and user ID.
F. Leave Default Auth as the Authentication Domain and click OK.
2. Give the user ID permissions in the SAS Management Console.
A. In the SAS Management Console, drill down to Authorization
Manager-->Access Control Template-->Default ACT. Right-click
Default ACT and select Properties.
B. CLick the Users and Permissions tab and select Add. In the Users
and Groups dialog box under Available Identities, select the
user ID, add the user ID to Selected Identities, and click OK.
C. Under Permissions then under Grant, click all check boxes.
3. Add user ID to the SAS Server Users group.
A. Click Start-->Settings-->Control Panel-->Administrative Tools-->
Computer Management-->Local Users and Groups-->Groups.
B. Highlight SAS Server Users and select Add to Group.
C. Click Add.
D. Under the Select Users, Computers, or Groups, in the "Enter the
objects names to be selected", type the domain and user ID.
E. CLick OK, and click OK again.
4. Give the user "Logon as batch job" privileges.
A. Click Start-->Settings-->Control Panel-->Administrative
Tools-->Local Security Policy.
B. Expand the Local Polices item then double-click User Rights
Assignment.
C. Double-click 'Log on as a batch job' to open it.
D. Click 'Add user or Group'.
E. Make sure Users is checked in the Object types.
F. In Locations, make sure the computer is selected or the
domain if you are adding a domain user.
G. Type the domainuser name in 'Enter the object names to
select field' and click OK. Click OK to accept and exit the log on
as a batch job properties dialog.
