Usage Note 16683: National Language Support for Enterprise Guide 3.01 and later
In order to run Enterprise Guide 3.01 and later with National Language
Support, you must install that language when you install EG and
you must select Tools>Options>General>Enterprise Guide Language
settings.
If you do not set the operating system's regional and language settings
to another language and do not set language settings in EG, EG will
check your operating system for language in this order:
1. Is there an exact match for the operating system's regional and
language settings? If yes, then EG will run in that language, if
that language is installed.
2. Is there a regional-neutral match? If yes, then EG will run in
that regional-neutral match.
3. If not, then EG will run in English.
For example, if your operating system is running as French Canadian
(fr-CA), EG looks for the following EG language resources in this
order:
1. fr-CAN (French Canadian)
2. fr (French)
3. en-US (English)
Once selected, EG saves the value in Options so if there is an operating
system change, it will not change the EG language. To select a new
language, choose
Tools>Options>General>Enterprise Guide Language settings
