Usage Note 16651: "Error: CLI error trying to establish connection:[MYSQL][ODBC 3.51
Driver] Access denied for user 'ODBC'@'localhost' (using password:NO)"
MySQL ODBC driver version 3.51.11-2 with SAS/ACCESS Interface to ODBC
may produce the following error:
ERROR: CLI error trying to establish connection: [MySQL][ODBC 3.51
Driver]Access denied for user 'ODBC'@'localhost' (using password: NO)
MS Access does not have a problem connecting to this same ODBC driver.
There are two different ways for an ODBC application to connect to a
DBMS, one called SQLConnect and one called SQLDriverConnect. Our
default is SQLConnect and SAS needs to use noprompt="DSN=dsn_name" in
this situation.
In SAS, the LIBNAME statement should resemble the following:
libname myodbc odbc noprompt="DSN=test";
