Problem Note 16619: Stored Processes do not support LRECL and RECFM options on FILE or
INFILE statements
When using a FILE or INFILE statement in a Stored Process, the LRECL and
RECFM options are not supported and the following errors will be
reported in the SAS log:
ERROR: Requested function is not supported.
ERROR 23-2: Invalid option name RECFM.
or
ERROR: Requested function is not supported.
ERROR 23-2: Invalid option name LRECL.
The errors will occur with both a Workspace server and Stored Process
server.
When a fileref other than _WEBOUT is being used, you can add the LRECL
and RECFM options to the FILENAME statement. There is no circumvention
when the _WEBOUT fileref is used for streaming output.
The LRECL and RECFM options are supported on FILE and INFILE statements
in SAS 9.2 and later.
