Problem Note 16488: Only the current generation of a Generation Data Group (GDG) will be
read when the Base GDG is allocated on an INFILE statement
In SAS® 9, if a Base GDG is allocated with the INFILE statement, only the
current GDG is read.
In some cases a SVC99 error like the following may result:
ERROR: SVC99 error rc=C, reason=0374 : IKJ56231I FILE NOT
CONCATENATED, SYSTEM OR INSTALLATION ERROR+IKJ56231I TEXT
UNIT X'0001' CONTAINS INVALID NUMBER.
If the Base GDG is allocated with JCL or on a FILENAME statement, SAS
will concatenate and read all generations of the Generation Data Group.
