Usage Note 15661: ERROR: The Balance algorithm timed out before a server could be found
When running the Stored Process Server, if some requests timeout while
other requests run successfully, then you may need to increase the Load
Balancing "Availability timeout" value for your Stored Process Server.
In your Object Spawner's log file, if some Stored Process Server
requests run successfully, while others fail with the message below,
then you should increase your "timeout" value.
ERROR: The Balance algorithm timed out before a server could
be found.
WARNING: The load balancing instance ldblCompRefDirectConnection
call failed.
WARNING: Unable to redirect the client request.
You can increase the Load Balancing "Availability timeout" value by
using the SAS Management Console by following these steps:
1.) Go to: Server Manager -> SAS Main -> SAS Main - Logical Stored
Process Server -> SAS Main - Stored Process Server
2.) Right click on "SAS Main - Stored Process Server" and select
"Properties". Then, click on the "Options" tab. Then, select
the "Advanced Options" button.
3.) On the "Advanced Options" window, select the "Load Balancing
Properties" tab.
4.) From this tab, change the value for "Availability Timeout
(msec)". This value is specified in milliseconds. So, the
default value is 60 seconds (60000 ms). For example, you could
change the value to "120000" (120 seconds).
