Customers can use SAS/ACCESS Interface to ODBC (or SAS/ACCESS to a
specific database) and the PROC SQL Pass-Through facility to execute
dbms statements.  If something goes wrong, an error will be written
to the SAS Log.  SQLXRC and SQLXMSG can be used to check the success of
your PROC SQL Pass-Through statements.  The following is an example:

      execute (create index foo  on tousdfrism (year)) by odbc;
