The following error message may be returned when columns are re-ordered and the old metadata update is used with PROC METALIB.

The steps below demonstrate how to replicate this problem using any type of table (SAS^®, DB2, Oracle, etc.):

1. Import table metadata.
2. Delete a column.
3. Perform old update table metadata.
4. Delete the column that was added.
5. Perform new update table metadata.

You will receive this error even if the columns are re-ordered using the property sheet of the table registered.
