Problem Note 15993: Visual Data Explorer allows saving Reports and Data Explorations outside
of BIP Tree and in Users folder
The Visual Data Explorer allows saving Report and Data Explorations
outside of the BIP tree and within the "Users" folder of the BIP Tree.
Instead the Visual Data Explorer should prevent saving these files
outside the BIP Tree and should not allow viewing or saving content in
other users personal folders. It should allow creation of subfolders
beneath the "Users" folder based upon individual user identification
where that content should be saved effectively preventing others from
access their content.
After applying the fix, you will be allowed to save content in the
following locations:
- Your personal users folder under BIP Tree\Users\[userid].
- Subfolders of the BIP Tree where you have WriteMetadata permission.
You will not be able to save content in the following locations:
- Directly in the BIP Tree folder.
- In other users personal folders.
- Any directory where you do not have WriteMetadata permission.
