Usage Note 15824: Possible system abend S0C4 in DVV2PPR with CA-Datacom VSAM Transparency
product
In SAS 9.1 you may receive an S0C4 abend if more than one VSAM
file is referenced in the program, even if the same program runs under
version 8.2 of SAS.
Symptoms reported are S0C4 in a module DVV2PPR. Also a CA message is
written to the JOB LOG:
+DVU0004T MYDDNAME MORE THAN ONE VSAM INTERFACE TABLE IN JOBSTEP
In Datacom Vsam Transparency there is a VIT (vsam interface table) that
each client can modify for their installation (or have multiple ones).
These VIT's MUST be linked as RE-USABLE and not linked with RENT. This
is documented in the VSAM transparency 2.2 users guide section 7.1.4
To determine the name of the VIT being used in the abending SAS job
find the DD card with the SUBSYS=(ADRV,'VUTNM=????????') the ???????? is
the name of the VIT being used.
ex. //MYDDNAME DD DSN=MYTABLE,DISP=SHR,SUBSYS=(ADRV,'VUTNM=MYVIT')
the VIT being used here is MYVIT
then go find where that module is being called from and determine if it
is re-usable or not.

Notice that it is not marked RU like the one below it.
Have this module relinked as RU and all should be fine.
