Problem Note 15760: "ERROR: An OLAP server thread has failed" from PROC OLAP when adding a set to a cube

When defining a set to an OLAP cube which contains only a single member within PROC OLAP, you may receive the following error message if the set is not enclosed in curly braces ("{}"):
ERROR: An OLAP server thread has failed.
For example, the following PROC OLAP step will generate the error:
proc olap;
metasvr olap_schema='SASMain - OLAP Schema'
repository='Foundation'
host=''
port=8561
userid=''
pw=XXXXXXXX;
define set '[orioncube].[myset1]' as
'[geography].[All geography].[asia]';
run;
To correct the problem, add curly brackets around the set: define set '[orioncubet].[myset1]' as '{[geography].[All geography].[asia]}';
