Usage Note 14654: Using LIBNAME statement with MySQL ODBC driver version 3.51.10 might
not display tables in the Explorer window
MySQL ODBC driver version 3.51.10 and higher might cause following
problems:
- You may receive the warning:
WARNING: During read: [MySQL][ODBC 3.51 Driver][mysqld-4.0.15-nt]
String data, right truncated
when trying to access a MySQL table.
- Not able to see tables in the explorer window after assigning the
LIBNAME
- When inserting a SAS data set into the MySQL table, all the
character fields may end up with null values.
All of the above problem can be fixed by checking boxes for 'Don't
Optimize Column Width' and 'Return Matching Rows' in the Flags 1
tab located in the Advanced tab of the MySQL ODBC driver configuration.
