Usage Note 14605: Incorrect results in query when user prompt is for a date in SAS Human
Capital Management
In SAS Human Capital Management 3.1 (HCM, HRV, HR Vision), the user may
experience an erroneous display of a month value when utilizing a User
Prompt placed on a date field if their locale is set to English.
This is possible if the Date Format Preference from the Configure page
is set to any of the following formats:
mm/dd/yy
mm/dd/yyyy
dd/mm/yy
dd/mm/yyyy
yy-mm-dd
yyyy-mm-dd
Subsequently, when the User Prompt is displayed for a date field, any
month entered is erroneously considered to be a 1, or January. This
problem is avoided if the user enters a date in the form ddMONyyyy.
It is not required to change the Date Format Preference, however,
changing the Date Format Preference to ddMONyyyy will change the pattern
shown on the prompt message.
Also, this is not an issue if a user is entering a date directly into
the Value column of the Add Filters page. In that case, they are
required to enter the date in the form ddMONyyyy.
