Problem Note 14541: Service Packs SP1 and SP2 may overwrite your !SASROOT/sasv9.cfg file

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It
During the installation of SP1, the !SASROOT/sasv9.cfg file is moved to
!SASROOT/install/admin/backups/sasv9.cfg_yyyyyy.zzz and a new copy of
sasv9.cfg is placed in the !SASROOT directory. If you made any
modifications to this file (-MEMSIZE, -WORK, etc.) these changes will
be lost when the sasv9.cfg file is overwritten.

During the installation of SP2, this same scenario will occur only if
you have hot fixes previously applied to the SAS installation.

To preserve your customizations, copy the modifications from the copy
of the sasv9.cfg file that is saved to the backup directory.

In order for the Service Pack to function correctly, do *not* move any
of the hot fix paths from the backup file to the SASROOT/sasv9.cfg file.

A fix for SAS 9.1.3 (9.1 TS1M3) for this issue is available at:

http://www.sas.com/techsup/download/hotfix/e9_sbcs_prod_list.html#014541

For customers running SAS with Asian Language Support (DBCS), this
fix should be downloaded from:
