Problem Note 14952: "Oracle prepare error" when Oracle password due to expire or in password grace period
You you run a query against an Oracle instance where the password is due
to expire or is in the password grace period, the following error
message might appear:
Error: ORACLE prepare error:
The character after the word 'Error:' varies.
In SQLPlus, if you connect to the same instance, the following error
message might appear:
Error: ORA-28002: the password will expire within 1 days
The workaround is to have the Oracle DBA adjust the password so that
it is not due to expire.
