Usage Note 14753: ABM Import Error: Microsoft Jet database engine cannot open the file
If you want to Import ABM Staging Tables using Microsoft
Access, the Access database path must be accessible from both the server
and the client machine. For this reason, System Administrators can
create a folder "share" so that users can specify a UNC path for their
Access (*.mdb) files (i.e. "\\AbmServer\SharedFolder\YourModel1.mdb").
If the share permission is not set correctly, users will not be able to
export or import from that server folder. The error will say:
"The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot open the file
'\\AbmServer\SharedFolder\YourModel1.mdb'. It is already
opened exclusively by another user, or you need permission
to view its data."
If you receive this error try setting the folder "share" permission such
that "Authenticated Users" have "Full Control" access on the folder.
This will ensure that authenticated users can in fact READ and WRITE to
the folder.
