Problem Note 14732: Using clustered servers or virtual IP addresses and a SAS OLAP Server
A SAS OLAP Server running in a clustered server environment, or on a
machine using a Virtual IP Address (or VIPA) might return errors either at
the initial start up of the OLAP Server or upon connection. These errors
may be similar to the following:
ERROR: Logical server not found.
ERROR: This hostname does not match any source connection specified
by server="SASMain - Logical OLAP Server".
ERROR: IOM call failed.
To allow the SAS OLAP Server to run smoothly in these environments, an
additional option must be added to the object server parameters
in your SAS OLAP Server invocation. This option is only available with
the hotfix listed below.
An example of the syntax for the object server parameters is:
-objectserverparms "cel=credentials server=$OLAPSERVER dnsmatch=<name of machine to match>"
Where <name of machine to match> is the alias for your server machine or the IP address of this machine.
SAS Note 14227 may offer more details about this behavior.
The server= parameter within your object server paramater option should not be changed. For example: server='SASMain - Logical OLAP server' or server=$OLAPSERVER.
