Problem Note 14658: Errors validating SAS/ACCESS Interface with MySQL with SAS 9.1.3 Service
Pack 2
The following errors may be issued during the validation testing of
SAS/ACCESS Interface to MySQL as part of the installation:
Validating SAS/ACCESS MySQL Software (English)...
INVALID: File comparison failed for:
/disk3/tdi/mva-v913sp2_tdi/usrlibsas.lnxno.20050126/sasexe/sasmyl
1 invalid files found.
However, if these errors are ignored, the SAS/ACCESS Interface to MySQL
will function the same way it did with SAS 9.1.3. No errors will be
issued, but you will not have any fixes that have been made between
9.1.3 and SP2, since we would still load the original sasmyl file that
was shipped with 9.1.3.
With native SAS 9.1.3, the SAS/ACCESS Interface to MySQL module was
executed by using the actual module name, sasmyl. However, with SAS
9.1.3 Service Pack 2 (SP2), SAS/ACCESS Interface to MySQL now references
a symbolic link to point to the MySQL module, sasmyl, in order to be
consistent with all the other SAS/ACCESS products and accomodate the
different releases of MySQL.
This change was introduced with SP2, to allow multiple MySQL client
support. With SAS 9.1.3 SP2, we are no longer shipping a sasmyl image,
instead we are shipping a myXXX400 image, where "XXX" corresponds to the
operating system.
To resolve this problem, customers on all platforms except for Windows
and AIX will need to manually create a symbolic link to sasmyl, similar
to the following :
unix_prompt> ln -s myh64400 sasmyl
A fix for SAS 9.1.3 (9.1 TS1M3) for this issue is available at:
http://www.sas.com/techsup/download/hotfix/e9_sbcs_prod_list.html#014658
For customers running SAS with Asian Language Support (DBCS), this
fix should be downloaded from:
