Problem Note 14433: Report linking might fail in SAS® Web Report Studio when the passed value is formatted
SAS Web Report Studio enables you to associate data items in a source report with prompts in a target report. In this way, values for the data item in the first report can be passed to the prompts in the linked report and the prompt window is bypassed.
However, if the values are formatted, you might see unexpected results. There are two possibilities:
- The target report displays, but the tables and graphs contain the message: No values were returned. If this occurs, you have a couple of options:
-
Use one of the workarounds explained in SAS Note 40276.
-
Click Refresh Data in the upper right corner of the interface. The prompt window for the target report will appear so that you can select the correct values.
- The prompt window for the target report appears with the correct values selected, but, when you click View Report, this message is displayed:
The response is not valid.
In addition, each value that was passed from the source report is duplicated in each list of prompt values.
If this occurs, click Reset to Defaults, and then manually select the correct prompt values.
