Usage Note 14034: ERROR: Incomplete cube metadata detected.
When editing the definition of a cube within the Cube Designer of SAS
OLAP Cube Studio, you may receive the following error:
ERROR: Incomplete cube metadata detected.
ERROR: No input table.
ERROR: The cube must be deleted.
One way that this error can occur is if the table the cube was created
from has been reregistered in the metadata.
Because the cube physically has a copy of its metadata about levels and
measures, you can still view the cube even though the input table
registration has changed.
When you edit a cube through the Cube Designer, the input table's
initial registration is needed. When you delete the table registration,
all of the associations between the levels and measures are deleted and
the physical cube no longer has any information about the input columns.
There is no means of recovering the metadata. The cube has to be deleted
and recreated. If the PROC OLAP code was previously saved, it can be
resubmitted instead of using the SAS OLAP Cube Studio interface to
recreate the cube.
