Problem Note 13545: Valid userid and password hardcoded on SIGNON statement recieves message indicating "Security Verification Failure".

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It
When you hardcode a userid and/or password on a SIGNON statement that has a
length of 8 characters, the userid and/or password is sent to the remote
host incorrectly. Subsequently, the remote host will indicate the
userid and/or password is invalid. The client SAS session may receive
the following errors:

ERROR: A communication subsystem partner link setup request failure
   has occurred.
ERROR: Communication request rejected by partner: security
   verification failure.

To circumvent the problem, you should:

- prompt for a userid and/or password
- put quotes around the hardcoded values on the SIGNON statement
