Problem Note 13525: File>Open and File>Save might cause SAS to lock up with Jaws screen reader in SAS 9.1

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It
Jaws Access Screen Reader (5.00.844 and higher) with SAS 9.x might
lock up your SAS session when you use File>Open, File>Save menu
selections, or various other commands in the SAS editor windows.

To implement the new sasvwu.dll, follow these instructions:

   1. Back up your existing sasvwu.dll located in !SASROOT\core\sasexe
     (the default path is "C:\Program Files\SAS\SAS 9.1\core\sasexe").
   2. Stop all SAS processes running in Task Manager and under
Services in the Control Panel. For example, sas.exe and any
      services starting with SAS Lev1.
   3. Copy the new sasvwu.dll to the !SASROOT\core\sasexe directory
      (the default path is "C:\Program Files\SAS\SAS 9.1\core\sasexe").
   4. Restart your PC.
