Problem Note 13232: SAS 9.1.3 object spawner fails on multihomed systems

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It
The SAS 9.1.3 Object Spawner may fail to start or may fail to open a
Workspace or Stored Process server when the machine has multiple IP
addresses.

This problem has been encountered on machines configured to have
multiple IP addresses.

To correct the problem:

  1.) Apply the hotfix.

  2.) Either

       a) use patchname to reset the sasroot directory

Patchname resets the name of the sasroot directory in the
      specified executable file. Example:

         patchname filepath sasroot-dir-path
   or

       b) set the TKPATHenvironment variable: For example:

TKPATH=<path to the installed SAS sasexe directory>
