Problem Note 13973: Errors were encountered configuring Java components for SAS on OpenVMS
When applying Service Pack 1 to SAS 9.1.3, or adding a new product to
your SAS software on OpenVMS Alpha, you may encounter the following
error:
"Errors were encountered configuring Java components for SAS."
"Your !SASROOT/bin/sasenv file may be damaged or missing."
This error will occur if the file SASPREFS.DAT does not exist in your
SYS$LOGIN location.
In order to successfully apply Service Pack 1 or add a new product to
your SAS installion, if this file does not exist, you will need to
create it. To create the file, use the following commands:
$ set default sys$login
$ create sasprefs.dat
<ctrl-z>
