Usage Note 13668: Enterprise ETL server bundle installation confusion with Integration
Technologies and LDAP authentication
When you install the Enterprise ETL Server Solution along with SAS
Integration Technologies, the installation might prompt you to install
the SAS Integration Technologies Administrator (IT Admin) component.
During the IT Admin installation, a prompt appears for LDAP Server
information. It might not be clear to you which information needs to be
entered or if the IT Admin component needs to be installed.
If you are using an LDAP Server for user authentication or you have
libraries that you want to import from the LDAP server, the IT Admin
component allows you to view what is defined on the LDAP server.
If you are not using an LDAP Server, then it is not necessary to install
the IT Admin component.
For more information on how to use the SAS Integration Technologies
Administrator, see the following link:
http://support.sas.com/rnd/itech/doc9/admin_ldap/itadmin/index.html
The Integration Technologies client (inttech.exe) is used with non-SAS
clients (for example, Visual Basic, Java, C++, and so on) and is a
component separate from the IT Administrator. For more information on
how to use the SAS Integration Technologies Windows Client, reference
the following link:
