Problem Note 13568: Performance affected when SAS data sets created in a DBCS 32-bit SAS are
processed in a 64-bit environment
It is possible to experience some performance degradation if a SAS data
set created in a DBCS 32-bit environment is processed in a 64-bit
environment.
For example, if you copy a DBCS SAS data set from a 32-bit platform to a
64-bit platform, and then attempt to read it, you will experience the
performance degradation versus recreating the same SAS data set on the
64-bit platform.
