Problem Note 13533: Using a range with the IN operator can produce a fatal error

Beginning in SAS® 9, a range of sequential integers can be used with the IN operator and numeric variables.  For
example:

  if x in(1:3,5) then y=2;

is equivalent to:

  if x in(1,2,3,5) then y=2;

If a range is used with the IN operator and the IN operator is used
again in the same step, you may receive the following error:

  FATAL: Internal error in IN/NOTIN.

This problem is corrected in SAS 9.2.
