Problem Note 13468: "Merge into Existing Metadata" option is ignored when using the SAS Data
Surveyor for SAP
When using the SAS Data Surveyor for SAP to extract metadata from SAP
BW, if you have previously extracted metadata from SAP BW and are
attempting to merge new metadata into the existing metadata, the option
"Merge into Existing Metadata" is ignored. As a result, the existing
metadata is replaced by the new metadata.
If you then attempt to access the previously extracted metadata, you
will receive the following error message:
ERROR: Metadata about infoobjects are incomplete. Load metadata for
infoCube INFOCUBENAME.
The current work-around is to do a full metadata extraction instead of
merging new metadata into existing metadata.
