When you attempt to log on to the SAS Management Console and the user ID
that started the metadata server does not have the "Act as part of the
operating system" privilege, the following error message might appear:

   NOTE: Current user probably does not have the right to act as part
   of the operating system.
   ERROR: Error authenticating user sasadm in function LogonUser.
   Error 1314 (A required privilege is not held by the client.).
   ERROR: Access denied.

Notice that the user ID of the SAS MC user is mentioned but the user
running the server, "Current user", is actually the ID in question.
The NOTE in this case is more important that then ERROR.

The log indicates the user ID of the "current user" in the first line:

   NTDOMAIN@LOGIN001: SAS Metadata Authorization Facility
   Initialization.

In this example, the account NTDOMAIN\LOGIN001 needs the "Act as part
of the operating system" privilege. Most recommendations indicate that
this user ID be an Administrator on this system and would thus inherit
this right.
