Usage Note 12715: Potential threading issues when HCM metaserver and web app server hosted
on LINUX
In SAS Human Capital Management 3.1 (HCM, HRV, HR Vision), various
threading issues surfaced in the retrieval of metadata when the
metaserver was hosted on LINUX.
This issue only manifested itself when the Web app was also hosted on a
LINUX server (running WebSphere). An example of one such incident was
using two banks of 10 users to display a PDF report based upon a
user-prompted query. Each user then ran for 10 minutes after all users
were up and running. This stress test appeared to cause tracebacks in
the SystemErr.log.
