Usage Note 12714: Multiple SAS connections no longer necessary with HCM BUILD macro
In SAS Human Capital Management 3.1 (HCM, HRV, HR Vision) the BUILD
macro makes a request to get metadata information about the base table.
This request creates a secondary connection to SAS so validation of
existing metadata columns against the actual columns in the data set can
occur. Modifying the BUILD macro to validate column information removes
the need for a second SAS connection for each user and reduces the
overall number of SAS connections required at a site.
