Usage Note 12701: HCM Calculated Columns can now use more SAS functions
In SAS Human Capital Management 3.1 (HCM, HRV, HR Vision) the TODAY()
function is missing for calculated columns while you are within the
Query tool.
With hot fix release 3.1.0.3, the TODAY() function has been added to
the "Create Calculated Column" page. This function is displayed at the
bottom of the list of columns.
The Calculated Columns page can now be loaded in two modes, Advanced and
Normal. To create a query in Advanced Mode, go to the Configure page and
check "Create queries in advanced mode". Having this box unchecked will
return you to Normal mode with query operation working exactly like it
has in the past.
Advanced operations will allow ALL functions and columns to be selected.
NOTE: No error checking is done in Advanced mode to ensure the functions
are compatible with the column type selected. (i.e. A user could try to
use the substr function on a numeric column.)
