Usage Note 12471: Problems connecting to stored process server: metadata associated with
sassrv user ID not defined correctly
If all metadata associated with the sassrv user ID have not been defined
correctly, this error message appears in the object spawner log:
ERROR: This server cannot be spawned without credentials which
specify the server process username.
To correct this problem, follow these troubleshooting steps:
1. Verify that a metadata group called SAS General Servers has been
defined.
2. Verify that the SAS Trusted User (sastrust) is a member of this
group. The group must contain a login (machine\sassrv) with
authentication domain (DefaultAuth) and password. Make sure that
the password specified here matches the password defined for the
operating system account.
3. Verify that sassrv is specified as the login for the stored process
server by checking the Options tab of the stored process server
Properties.
a. On the Options tab, select the Advanced Options, and select the
Credentials tab to verify that sassrv has been selected as
the login.
b. Be sure to stop and re-start the Object spawner before testing
again.
