Usage Note 12356: In version 9.1, the SAS/CONNECT® Spawner and the SAS® Integration Technologies Object Spawner require the SAS SVC routine
Beginning in SAS 9.1, the SAS/CONNECT® Spawner and the SAS® Integration Technologies Object Spawner require that the SAS SVC routine be installed
along with setting two SAS TK options in the TKMVSENV data set. Failure
to do so will result in a system abend S16D.
To install the SVC, follow the instructions in the section "Installing
the SAS 9.x Foundation SVC Routine" in the "Configuration Guide".
After installing the SVC, set the following SAS TK options in the
'&prefix.TKMVSENV(TKMVSENV)' data set which is created during the
SAS 9.1 installation process:
set TKOPT_SVCNO=xxx
set TKOPT_SVCR15=yy
Setting these options in the TKMVSENV data set is optional if the
SAS SVC Routine is installed using the default values of
TKOPT_SVCNO=109 and TKOPT_SVCR15=4. The TKMVSENV DD allocation
is needed for both the spawner started tasks, and the clist used
by the SAS/CONNECT Spawner and/or the IOM Server clist. The
TKMVSENV DD allocation is already defined in the clist but will
need to be added to the spawners' started task.
This applies to the BI Servers such as the SAS Stored Process Server, and the SAS Workspace Server.
