Problem Note 12346: ERROR: A communication subsytem partner link setup request failure has
occurred. ERROR: XMS Communication Failure: requested-link XVT not
found
The following error may be encountered when accessing a z/OS SAS/Share
server library defined in the Metadata Server.
LIBNAME Defdata REMOTE HOSTNAME="server.com"
Server=server.shr1 slibref=defdata;
ERROR: Attempt to connect to server server.SHR1 failed.
ERROR: A communication substem partner link setup request failure has
occurred.
ERROR: XMS Communicaiton Failure: requested-link XVT not found.
ERROR: ERROR in the libname statement.
To circumvent the problem, COMAUX1=TCP must be set in the SAS
configuration.
Note: Proc Options can be used to determine the value of the COMAUX1
option.
