Problem Note 12294: Email attachment with a period '.' in column 72 gets replaced with an = sign

In SAS 9.1 (TS1M0) and SAS 9.1.2 (TS1M2), if an email attachment is sent with a period '.' in column 72 the period gets replaced by an equal (=) sign.
