Problem Note 12097: "Invalid Command line switch" error message appears when uninstalling
SAS Configuration Wizard
If you uninstall Sun Java Runtime before uninstalling the SAS 9.1.x
Configuration Wizard, when you try to uninstall the Configuration
Wizard, the following error message might appear:
ERROR: Invalid Command line switch -DSUN.JAVA2D.D3D=False
Because SAS does not install a private JRE with the Configuration
Wizard, it needs to use that command line switch to prevent crashes
on certain Windows XP environments with a particular graphics card. The
error is due to the Java that is shipped with Windows which does not
allow for -D options.
In order to work around this issue, go into the Uninstall SAS
Configuration Wizard.lax file in the UninstallerData folder and
change the following line from
lax.nl.java.option.additional=-Dsun.java2d.d3d=false
to
lax.nl.java.option.additional=
The easiest way to find where the UninstallerData folder is to search
for Wizard.lax because this folder could be changed from the
default location by the installer.
