Problem Note 12700: Active temporary utility files removed by cleanwork
Active utility files in the SAS WORK directory may be incorrectly
removed by cleanwork.
The binary-to-hex conversion that is responsible for the naming of the
temporary utility file directory is incorrectly converting the SAS
process ID number (PID) to the hex equivalent.
The cleanwork utility relies on the naming convention of these temporary
files to compare the directory name to the active SAS PIDs, and will
remove all SAS WORK utility directories that do not have an active PID.
The follow error message indicates that the utility directory was
removed prior to SAS referencing it.
ERROR: Utility file read failed.
