Usage Note 12697: In HCM you can add yourself to security subsets that you manage
In SAS Human Capital Management 3.1 (HCM, HRV, HR Vision), a security
subset can be defined to include the departmental hierarchy of the
organization.
When this subset is applied to a user, that user will then be allowed to
view data of employees whose level of organization they share. For
managers, this allows them to view data of their employees but not
necessarily data for themselves.
With hot fix 3.1.0.3, an option has been added to the Manage Security
Subsets within the Configure page. If the checkbox, "Include logged in
user with this security subset." is checked, the individual logging into
HCM will be able to view their data. This option can work in tandem or
separate from the existing option, "Apply departmental hierarchy".
