Problem Note 12509: KILLTASK command on OpenVMS may leave remote SAS/Connect session running
An attempt to kill a remote SAS/Connect session via the KILLTASK command
on OpenVMS may not kill the remote session, even though the SAS log
indicates that the session was killed. This problem can occur
when using the SAS/Connect signon scripts.
The SAS/Connect remote session may still continue to run after the
KILLTASK command has been issued, and may enter a hibernate or runaway
state.
This problem is due to a bug in HP's DCL.EXE image for OpenVMS 7.3-1 and
7.3-2.
Patches VMS731_DCL-V0500 and VMS732_DCL-V0200 have been released by HP.
