Usage Note 12303: "sam.251.ex.msg: A problem occurred while connecting to a load
balancing spawner. This server cannot be spawned without credentials
which specify the server process username."
The following error(s) may be encountered when testing the Stored
Process Server connection in SAS Management Console.
sam.251.ex.msg: A problem occurred while connecting to a
load balancing spawner. Check the spawner log
for more details.
The objspawn.log located in the \Lev1\SASMain\ObjectSpawner\logs\
subdirectory, contains the following error:
ERROR: This server (xxxxxxxx.AT000002) cannot be spawned without
credentials which specify the server process username.
You can specify these credentials using SAS Management
Console in the Advanced Options of the server definition
(found under the Options tab in the server's properties
dialog).
This error will be encountered when any of the following conditions are
true.
1.) The Login field of the Credentials tab under Advanced Options
in the Stored Process Server definition does not contain the
hostname\sassrv userid.
2.) The SAS Trusted User's id has been changed to another userid in
the OMRConfig.xml file located in the subdirectory
\Lev1\SASMain\ObjectSpawner\.
3.) The SAS Trusted User's id has not been added to the SAS Services
Group in the metadata configuration or the password is
incorrect for the SAS Trusted User's id.
To correct the problem:
1.) Add the hostname\sassrv id in the Login field of the Credentails
tab under Advanced Options in the Stored Process Server
definition. Note: spelling is very important.
2.) Change the userid in the OMRConfig.xml file to sastrust.
3.) Add the SAS Trusted userid as a member of the SAS Services Group
in the User Manager plugin,
4.) Verify the password defined for sastrust and sassrv are spelled
correctly.
