Usage Note 12220: Checking installation and licensing of SAS Data Quality Server
You might receive the following error in the SAS log window for SAS Data
Quality Server:
ERROR: The SAS Data Quality Server - English (United States) product
with which the procedure is associated is either not licensed for
your system or the product license has expired. Please contact your
SAS installation representative.
There are two things you need to check to see if you have the proper
installation/license for SAS Data Quality Server.
First check to see if you have the proper files installed.
Check < !sasroot\dquality\sasmisc >, you should have a content folder
and a dqsetup.txt file. In the content folder, you should have 2 files
and eight folders; these make up the Quality Knowledge Base (QKB)
required for SAS Data Quality Server.
If you do not see these files, please check your installation and make
sure you selected SAS Data Quality Server when installing.
Next, you need to ensure that you have the proper licensing. When you
install SAS Data Quality Server, or any solution/bundle that includes
SAS Data Quality Server, your site installation data (setinit content)
should contain at least two items installed/licensed:
---SAS Data Quality Server
---SAS Data Quality Server - English (United States)
The first line represents the SAS Data Quality Server product itself,
and the second represents the locale. At least one locale is required
in order for SAS Data Quality Server to function. If a locale was not
explicitly selected, sites will receive the
"English (United States)" locale as shown above.
Sites can choose to receive a locale other than English (United States),
or in addition to it. Please check
http://www.dataflux.com/Customer-Care/index.asp for a listing of the
currently supported locales, as they are frequently updated.
If you do not see at least one locale listed when you run proc setinit,
please call Contracts Customer Service so that a new SID may be
generated.
Documentation for SAS Data Quality Server is available via the on-line
help. From within foundation SAS, search for "Using the SAS Data Quality
Software".
For ETL Studio, search for "Data Quality" and you will see several
things to get you started.
