Usage Note 11877: An error occurs when the LoadPlannedStoredProcessSamples.sas program
runs from the Instructions.html file under the Load SAS Stored Process
samples
When you run the LoadPlannedStoredProcessSamples.sas program from the
Instructions.html file under the Load SAS Stored Process samples, the
following errors might occur:
ERROR: Invalid credentials.
ERROR: Access denied.
ERROR: Error authenticating user sassrv in function LogonUser.
Error 1385 (Logon failure: the user has not been granted the
requested logon type at this computer).
NOTE: User sassrv probably does not have the right to log on as a
batch job.
There are several reasons why an error might occur:
1. The sassrv user account was spelled differently, for example,
sassvr, when it was set up in the SAS® Management Console versus
the set up at the operating system level.
2. The password that was entered when you ran the SAS Configuration
Wizard was changed on the operating system AFTER the configuration
directory was created. This caused the password in the .sas
programs to have incorrect information.
In this situation, use PWENCODE procedure to ensure that
the encrypted password in the .sas programs matches the password
for the account and the password in the metadata.
PROC PWENCODE is documented in the "Updating Passwords That Are
Included in Configuration Files" section of the SAS® 9.1
Intelligence Architecture: Planning and Administration Guide:
http://support.sas.com/documentation/configuration/iaplanning.pdf
3. The installation was performed and then the Configuration Wizard
used the Local accounts (Local Machinesassrv) and
later switched to use Domain accounts (Domainsassrv). In the
LoadPlanned.sas program, the <Local machine>sassrv account is
the metauser.
4. Sassrv must be the account that is used in the SAS General Servers
Group shared login or the .sas code will not run.
5. The SAS Server Users group needs to be given the permission/policy
"Log on as a Batch Job".
Note: The LoadPlannedStoredProcessSamples.log which contains the errors,
is located in the following directory:
