Usage Note 10659: "Error: The SAS config folder is not valid. Please verify the folder",
appears when you run the Renew SAS Software tool
When you run the Renew SAS Software tool on Step 3 (Specify the product
location), the following error message might appear:
Renew SAS Software - sas91_xxxxxx.txt
The SAS config folder is not valid. Please verify the folder.
To work around this issue, perform the following steps to point to
the correct config folder:
1. Click OK.
2. Uncheck the "Same as above" box.
3. Click Browse on the Folder for SAS config file and point to the
correct folder. The default location is "C:\Program Files\SAS\SAS 9.1"
4. Click Renew.
Please note that the sasv9.cfg file (the config file) located in
"C:\Program Files\SAS\SAS 9.1" is just a pointer to the config
file (sasv9.cfg) being used by the installation. So if you receive
errors when you run the Renew SAS Software Tool, open the sasv9.cfg
file and see where it is pointing to, and verify that the other file
exists. For example:
The default C:\Program Files\SAS\SAS 9.1\sasv9.cfg file contains
the following information:
-CONFIG "C:\Program Files\SAS\SAS 9.1\nls\en\sasv9.cfg"
To verify that this config file exists, go to the following
directory and make sure this sasv9.cfg file is there and that
it is not empty:
C:\Program Files\SAS\SAS 9.1\nls\en\sasv9.cfg
