Why Is My Configuration Failing for SAS Shared Services?

The maintenance process might fail when you start configuring SAS Shared Services. The process is failing because SAS is trying to start the spawner for SAS Shared Services, but the SAS Table Server is not running.
To work around this problem:
  1. When a message appears stating the SAS Shared Services failed, leave this dialog box open and go to the machine that has the SAS server tier.
  2. Apply the third maintenance release to the SAS server tier.
  3. On the machine that contains the SAS Metadata Server and the middle tier, click Retry in the message about SAS Shared Services.
