After you apply the
third maintenance release for SAS 9.2, the release number in the SAS
log is TS2M3.
When you apply a maintenance
release, the SAS Deployment Wizard automatically upgrades your SAS
installation directories to include updated versions of all the products
that are currently deployed. Because of product dependencies, you
cannot choose which products are updated. If you have a multi-machine
deployment, you need to update all machines when you apply maintenance.
The maintenance releases
for SAS 9.2 use the functionality in SAS 9.2 TS2M0 as a baseline.
If you are running SAS
9.2 TS1M0 at your site, then before you apply a maintenance release,
review the upgrade information for your operating environment:
-
If you are running in a Windows
environment, then the SAS Deployment Wizard automatically upgrades
the contents of your SAS installation directories to include the content
in the maintenance release.
-
If you are running in a UNIX or
z/OS environment, then the SAS Deployment Wizard does not automatically
upgrade your SAS 9.2 TS1M0 installation. For these operating environments,
you must specify a new SAS installation directory. Any customizations,
such as configuration scripts and librefs, need to be created for
this new SAS installation directory. Until you delete the SAS installation
directory for SAS 9.2 TS1M0, your installation of SAS 9.2 TS1M0 continues
to be available to users at your site.
