Global preferences are
applied to all SAS Web applications that are displayed with the Adobe
Flash player. When you set a global preference, it applies to the
user who you are logged on as and to no other users.
Note: If the user locale that you
specify in the preferences is different from the user locale for the
SAS Workspace Server, you might receive an error when you try to log
on to the SAS Model Manager client application. You might also receive
encoding errors when executing tasks in SAS Model Manager. If you
receive an error change the updated locale back to the original locale
for the user.
To set global preferences,
select the Global Preferences page. These
global preferences are available:
-
User locale specifies
the geographic region whose language and conventions are used in the
applications. This setting might also apply to some SAS Web applications
that are not displayed with the Adobe Flash player. The default is
the browser locale.
-
Theme specifies
the collection of colors, graphics, fonts, and effects that appear
in the applications. Theme changes take effect after you log off and
log back on.
Note: You can also set the
User
locale setting by using the SAS Preferences Manager.
Enter in your browser window the URL
http://host-name:port/SASPreferences
to
launch the SAS Preferences Manager, and select the
Regional menu
option.

more information, see SAS Preferences Manager in SAS Intelligence Platform: Middle-Tier Administration Guide.
