The TODSTAMPw.
informat reads time-of-day clock values that are produced by IBM mainframe
operating systems and converts the clock values to SAS datetime values.
If the time-of-day value is all 0s, TODSTAMPw. results in a missing
value.
Use TODSTAMPw. on other
operating environments to read time-of-day values that are produced by an
IBM mainframe.

The data line is a hexadecimal representation of a binary,
8-byte time-of-day clock value. Each byte occupies one column of the input
field. The result is a SAS datetime value that corresponds to December 31,
