Server Tier Components

SAS IT Resource Management Server for the AIX, HP PA-RISC, HP-UX on Itanium, Solaris SPARC and Solaris 10 x64, Linux 32-bit and x64, z/OS, and Windows x64 and 32-bit operating environments uses the following components:
  • Base SAS
  • SAS IT Resource Management Server
  • MXG from Barry Merrill (z/OS only and included in the IT Resource Management license)
  • Demand Technology Performance Sentry (Windows x64 and 32-bit)
  • SAS Metadata Server
  • SAS Data Integration Studio
  • SAS Enterprise BI Server
  • SAS/SHARE
  • SAS/ETS
  • SAS/STAT
  • SAS HPF (includes SAS Threaded Kernel Extensions for Operations Research)
  • SAS/ACCESS Interface to ORACLE
  • SAS/ACCESS Interface to ODBC (for AIX, HP PA-RISC, HP-UX on Itanium, Linux 32-bit and x64, Solaris SPARC and Solaris 10x64, and Windows 32-bit and x64
  • SAS/ACCESS Interface to DB2 (for AIX, HP PA-RISC, HP-UX on Itanium, Linux 32-bit, Solaris SPARC, z/OS, Windows 32-bit, and Windows 64-bit for Itanium)
  • SAS/ACCESS Interface to PC Files

Middle Tier Components

SAS IT Resource Management Web Tier for the AIX, HP-UX on Itanium, Solaris SPARC and Solaris 10 x64, Linux x64, z/OS, and Windows x64 and 32-bit operating environments uses the following components:
  • SAS IT Resource Management Middle Tier
  • SAS Web Report Studio
  • SAS Information Delivery Portal Web Application
  • SAS Web Parts for Microsoft SharePoint
  • SAS BI Dashboard
  • SAS BI Portlets (not available on z/OS)
  • SAS Content Server
Note: An application server is obtained separately. Application servers that are supported include the following products:
  • JBoss (AIX, HP-UX on Itanium, SPARC and Solaris 10 x64, Linux x64, and Windows x64 and 32-bit)
  • Oracle WebLogic (HP UX on Itanium using a 32-bit JRE, Solaris SPARC and Solaris 10 x64 using a 32-bit JRE, and Windows 32-bit)
  • IBM WebSphere (z/OS, AIX, Solaris SPARC and Solaris 10 x64, Linux x64, and Windows x64 and Windows 32-bit)

Client Tier Components

SAS IT Resource Management SAS Client for the Windows XP Professional, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 workstation operating environments uses the following components:
  • SAS Data Integration Studio
  • SAS IT Resource Management Client
  • SAS Enterprise Guide
  • SAS Management Console (AIX, HP PA-RISC, HP-UX on Itanium, Linux 32-bit and x64, Solaris SPARC and Solaris 10 x64, and Windows 32-bit and x64
  • SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office
  • SAS Information Map Studio
  • SAS OLAP Cube Studio
  • SAS OLAP Server Monitor
